The Spot Removers is the 101st episode in the series.
Plot synopsis[]
Wally is expected to attend a Saturday-night party with Eddie, but that morning Wally finds that Beaver has hung his jacket, pockets stuffed with minnows, in the closet next to his suit. June has the suit quickly dry-cleaned, but when Beaver and his friend Richard accidentally spill oil on it, Wally may not have anything to wear for the party. It gets worse when Beaver and Richard attempt to bleach the oil out, and leave the suit with a huge white splotch.
Eddie notices the damaged suit himself, and starts to taunt Beaver for it, but then sees Beaver is mortified about what he's done. To keep Wally from noticing, Eddie suggests to Wally that wearing suits might make them look like a couple of undertakers, and it might be better to pull a 'Tony Curtis', and wear something less formal, like sport coats and slacks to the party, to which Wally goes along with. Beaver still feels bad about what he's done and tearfully admits to his parents that he ruined Wally's good suit, and that Eddie covered for him by talking Wally into wearing a sport coat instead, so Wally wouldn't notice. While June assures Beaver that she can have Wally's suit dyed to it's original color, Ward advises Beaver to keep Eddie's kindness discrete, as Eddie likes his "Bad Guy" reputation.
Wally later admits that the majority of the guests at the party wore suits, making Wally feel slightly out-of-place, but once things got underway, no one really noticed or cared.
